Obituary of Gerry Len Leifheit

Gerry Len Leifheit, 74, passed away on February 10, 2024 at Intermountain Health Hospice.  He was born on March 15, 1949, in Denver Colorado to Joseph and Colleen Leifheit.  He graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1967, where he wrestled, played football, and took an interest in cars and hard work.  He attended Metropolitan State College for two years, studying aviation.  Gerry married the love of his life, Donna Presler. To this union of 55 years, two children were born, Gannon (Beth) and Tina (Jimmy).

Serving his country, he flew helicopters in the US Army in Texas and Alabama.  He was a hard worker who owned a Masonry  Construction company and later owned a restaurant. He loved woodworking and could create, fix, and build anything. Hunting and fishing were also at the top of his hobbies. Gerry was known for his quick wit, humor, genuineness to give, work ethics, and toughness.

He loved his grandchildren, Bryce (Amy), Sarah and Tera.  The apple of his eyes and heart were his great grandchildren, Coy, Dayde, and Evyln.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

He will be deeply missed by many.  And while there will forever be a void in our hearts, it is without any doubt that he's already charmed the heck out of everyone upstairs and has all his old and new friends and family roaring with laughter.

A Celebration of Life will be held sometime in Spring/Summer of 2024.
