Obituary of Alisa D Yeazel

Alisa was born September 4th 1970, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. A typical middle child between her older brother Michael, and her younger sister Lori. She enjoyed being the center of sibling rivalry and excelled in such. The family moved to Florida in 1979 and she attended Gaither High School from 1986-1987.  Alisa was an incredible soccer player, feared by her opponents and beloved by her teammates and coaches. She was an exciting player to watch on the field and her quick wit and tough attitude would sometimes get her in trouble with the referees. Alisa is especially known by all for her amazing sense of humor.

Her son Trevor, or Mister, as she called him was born in 1986, when Alisa was 16 and as a young mother she moved back to Colorato in 1987 with her family and graduated from Arvada West High School in 1988.

Alisa’s grandson Ryan, her pride and joy, was born in 2007. Alisa encouraged his love of sports and seafood and she lovingly called him The Craze. She was then blessed with three bonus grandchildren starting in 2018.

In 2009, Alisa met her husband Vince and they connected over their love of sports. Vince balances Alisa’s strong spirit and they have spent the last 15 years devoted to each other.

Her beloved son Trevor was killed in 2015 and Alisa was never quite the same. She channeled her grief to become an active member of Parents of Murdered Children and Compassionate Friends. The connections she gained from those organizations provided her with support and understanding of what it is like to lose a child. Her friends continued to be a comfort to her and she treasured them dearly.

Alisa has always been an avid hard core Bronco fan and the Colorado sunsets were her favorite colors of blue and orange. Despite her struggles with health in later years, what grounded her was her faith in God. She especially loves Pastor Rick's sermons at Grace Church of Arvada.

Her dog Leroy, a gift from her precious daughter in-law Thia, became her constant companion and best friend. Leroy wakes her up with kisses every day, they love to nap together and they mastered the game of donut.

Alisa is especially close to her Mom, The Barb. She sent loving text messages to her mom every morning, and called her every day, sometimes over fifteen times a day just to mention something she forgot or to ask about what she was having for dinner.

Alisa frequently told each of her nieces and nephews that they were her favorite and not to tell the others and she loved to tease them. Her favorite Uncle Bob AKA tickle monster never stopped making her laugh.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Alisa’s honor to Parents of Murdered Children, Grace Church of Arvada Children’s program, or Hope House.

Alisa passed away on February 14, 2024 after a long courageous health battle. She is survived by her husband Vince Hough, her beloved Leroy, her grandson Ryan, 3 bonus grandkids Elon, Owen, Carina, mom Barbara Wilson, bonus dad Mike Wilson, brother Michael Boyer, sister Lori Stone (Kenny), daughter in-law Thia Hoffman (Alex), nieces Kathryn (Matt), Taryn, Payton (Wes), Jalyn, Rhyanna, Julianna, Lilly, Nephew Archer (Liv), great niece Makayla, great nephew Mason, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and treasured friends.

Preceded in death by her precious son Trevor Boyer, dad Norman Boyer, her grandmothers Kathryn Hicks, Sylvia Gilley and Amanda Boyer, ex husband and close friend Bob Yeazel, and dear friend Tom Larson.
