Obituary of Carolyn N. Meyer

Carolyn N. Meyer was born on November 5, 1932 to Charles and Bertha (Otte) Meyer in Great Bend, Kansas. As an adult, she joined the Women's Army Corp (WAC) and considered her 9-year stint an honor. After being discharged from the WAC, Carolyn spent the remainder of her working years in the banking industry. She was often recognized for her professional determination, decisiveness, and objectivity. She was baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit on June 11, 1961 at Hope Lutheran Church in Aurora, Colorado. She was confirmed in the faith the same day with Rev. Walter A. Kirk presiding. She loved Hope Lutheran Church and served faithfully on the Altar Guild for four decades. Her leadership and dedication were a blessing to the church. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her nephew and her dear friend, Anna Lembke. She is survived by her niece, Alyn Gravatt and many relatives and friends. Carolyn died on December 1, 2021 having attained the age of 89 years and 26 days. The Lord giveth, the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
