Obituary of Lawrence E Fanning

Lawrence Edward Fanning passed away at home peacefully in his sleep on 9/3/2022.
Survived by his wife, Bambi; children, Eric and Kim; preceded in death by his sons, Scott and Patrick.

Larry was a WWII veteran, serving four years in the Pacific Theater.  He was able to witness the surrender of Japan to allied forces on September 2, 1945.

After returning to the States, Larry attended Denver University and the University of Southern California. Larry then began his passionate life work in business; owning and operating six businesses, developing and building Orchard Street in Pleasant View.  He even helped establish the first Volunteer Fire Department.

Larry was able to “retire” at age 52, but he never slowed down.  He was The Man.

Larry was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Service will be on October 14th at Ft. Logan cemetery, staging area B at 9:15am.  Celebration of Life to follow at VFW Post 4171, 15625 West 10th Street, Golden.
