Obituary of Margaret Anne Olson

In loving memory we recognize the passing of Margaret Anne Olson (1/16/1931-4/4/2022). She passed peacefully from complications due to Alzheimer's disease and Dementia in Englewood, CO. Known as Peggy, she is survived by her four children Ray, Karen, Suzanne(Mike), Bill, three grandchildren Sami, Madeline and Rachael and her brother David Watson (Kathy) of Farmington, CT. Peggy was born in Meriden, CT to Isaac and Margaret Watson. She graduated with a Nursing Degree at the University of Connecticut, June 12, 1954. She married Richard H Olson June 19, 1954. Peggy enjoyed watching her granddaughters play soccer and high school tennis matches. She also loved to travel taking family trips to many areas of the Western U.S. including National Parks. Later in life she traveled with her partner Bob McBride to California, Europe and Hawaii. Peggy was active in Nursing organizations, part of the group that launched 9 Health Fair and swim clubs. She also played tennis and golf while encouraging her children to swim and be active in sports and music. She loved to paint landscapes and still life paintings in her spare time. Peggy was a loving and nurturing force in her children's lives and they will always remember her with great admiration. Family, friends and others whose lives Peggy touched are invited to Aspen Mortuary Lakewood Chapel, 1350 Simms Street, Lakewood, CO 80401, to join Peggy's family for a funeral service from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Friday May 6th. A celebration of life party will follow at Clancy's Irish Pub in Wheat Ridge, CO which is something Peggy would love.
