Obituary of Donna Mefford

Donna Castonguay Mefford was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Although she left this world suddenly on March 13, 2022 at the age 66, she will live on in the hearts of all us who knew her and who reveled in her frequent laughter. Donna was born in Wolcott, Connecticut in 1955, and moved to Colorado to attend college in 1975. She loved Colorado and lived out the rest of her life here. She worked as a mineralogist, starting her own laboratory, and later made a career change to work as a massage therapist. Anyone who knew Donna realized that she had a huge heart and the most infectious laugh. She enjoyed a lifetime of adventuring whether it be rafting down rivers, road tripping across the US, or traveling abroad. However, being a mother was what she cherished the most. Donna used hugs instead of handshakes and we will all miss being greeted with her open arms. There will be a graveside service at 11am on April 1, 2020 at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life Open house from 4pm-7pm at 16671 W 74th Ave., Arvada,CO. In lieu of flowers please donate in her name to The Butterfly Pavilion or another charity you think she would have enjoyed.
