Obituary of Kenton Scott Schneider

Kenton †œScott†� Schneider, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at the age of 66. He passed away after a long battle that there was no recovering from. He was proceeded in death by his brother Stanley and his parents Edward and Twila. Growing up Scott was a mischievous prankster and often pushed boundaries while enjoying a true zest for life. He later went on to serve in the US Army and boxed in the US Army. His tenacity and determination became a useful skill throughout his life. Due to his sheer determination and grit Scott would go on to win the golden gloves as a feather weight boxer. He was a business owner running a brick masonry company. He and his team would go on to build several prominent buildings in downtown Denver. He worked to earn the respect and trust of his team. He had a deep passion for blues music and it was a huge part of his life. Blues lead him to make several lifelong friends through a shared admiration of the soulful tunes. He became a self-taught guitar player armed with only his steadfast determination to learn a song. There were many long days of the record player repeating the same song over and over until he could pinpoint the next note. He regularly played guitar in some of the local blues clubs around Denver. Throughout his life music was always in the background. Scott was an avid antique collector and enjoyed frequenting estate sales, goodwill and flea markets. He was also a professional observer of life and could be found sipping a cup of coffee and watching life play out in front of him. He would often strike up a conversation with a stranger and have a have a new friend by the end of the day. He was a loyal and giving friend. Scott was most proud of his family to him family was everything. He was a devoted father and dedicated father to his three daughters DeeDee, Denise and Nina. He was extremely proud of each of his daughters for their own unique personality traits, strengths, and the women they became. He could see bits of himself in each of his daughters. He was happiest sitting for a long conversation about life with his children where he would share his knowledge and provide advice. Scott is survived by his children DeeDee (Arvada, CO), Denise (Nashville, TN), Nina (Denver, CO); his sister Neitha (Loveland, CO); grandchildren Chancellor, Gino, Ivy, Scarlett, Isabella, Annamarie; great grandchildren Aaliyah, Giovanni, and Gianna. Funeral services for family and friends of Scott will take place Monday, April 4, 2022 at 10am at City Church Boulder located at 2801 Jay Road, Boulder, CO 80301.
