Obituary of Barbara Anne Nicholas

Barbara Anne Nicholas September 8, 1942 †" April 9, 2022 Barbara Anne Nicholas (nee Biel) passed away on April 9, 2022 in Denver, Colorado at the age of 79. Barbara was born in St Louis, Missouri on September 8, 1942 to Irvin and Louise Biel. She graduated from Southwest High School in 1960 and received her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Microbiology from the University of Kansas in 1964 (and happily witness the Jayhawks win another National Championship). In 1964 Barb married fellow Jayhawker Paul Nicholas. They both moved to Arvada, Colorado where she was a full time-homemaker and mother. Barbara was an active member of Arvada Presbyterian Church and was a volunteer with the children†™s Sunday school program. She had a passion for crafts and spent many hours with her granddaughters making cards and jewelry. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Paul, son, David (Wilma Jane), son Tim, and granddaughters, Julia, Heather, Hannah and Katie. A celebration of life will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Arvada Colorado (7755 Vance Dr., Arvada, CO 80003) on Saturday April 30, 2020 at 10:00 am. Reception to follow.
