Obituary of Douglas Kwangduk Pannell

Douglas Pannell March, 07,1962 - April 23, 2022 On April 23, 2022, the world lost a truly wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend! Douglas K. Pannell was born to Ohk Sun Park and Noh Yung Gong on March 07, 1962, in Incheon, South Korea. He was adopted to William Preston Pannell and Noh Meongu in the year 1971, where he lived in Byronville, Georgia when he first arrived in America. Later in the early 1980s, Doug made his way to Colorado where he began working as an auto mechanic at Sunhaski Auto Company for two years. Later he started his professional career with Coors Brewing Company. His dedicated service lasted 37 years and Doug gained a strong reputation for his hard work and kind personality. There, he met his wife Betty Baatarchuluun at Coors Brewing Company. The couple have two sons DJ and Batorgil. Doug was deeply loved by his family and was well thought of by his neighbors and friends. He was always willing to help and teach. He liked to work on cars as well as home improvement projects. But most of all, he loved to travel. He and his wife traveled far and wide together including car trips down the coastal Highway between British Columbia and Oregon, across to the Grand Canyon, Grand Teton National Park, Yellow Stone National Park. Also, they have ferried to Victoria†™s Islands, visited Niagara Falls, and seen many major cities in Canada such as Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto. The couple has traveled abroad as well, to South Korea, Mongolia, China, Sweden and Italy. Doug is survived by his wife Betty, both of his sons, DJ and Batorgil, sister Kim and brother in-law Kadar Jones, brothers Changduk, David Pannell, Sanjae Noh. He is further survived by Molly Cassidy and two grandchildren Luke and Maddison, from former marriage. His grandkids gave him the nickname †œPapa Doug†� which became synonymous with his kind heart. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 10, 2022, 2:00 PM at Aspen Arvada Chapel, 6370 Union Street, Arvada CO 80004
