Obituary of Eddie Lagerberg

Eddie Kent Lagerberg was born May 23rd, 1958 in Denver, Colorado, the first son of Kenneth Edwin Lagerberg and Joy de Lee Elaine Lagerberg (maiden name Lingren). He grew up in Applewood Colorado with his parents and two brothers Greg and Larry. He and his family did a lot of traveling as his father†™s career took them many places in the Rocky Mountain Region all the way to Juarez Mexico. Music was always a big part of the Lagerberg Family and Eddie†™s instrument of choice was the guitar. He also played bass with his brother†™s and dad in Blujazz, a traditional jazz band. His many interests also included fast, cool cars. He loved the 2 Pontiac Trans Ams and the Mercedes C230 that he owned over the years. He graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1976 and went on to study at Metropolitan State College of Denver, graduating in 1980 with a BS degree in Business Administration. His career for over 40 years was always providing outstanding customer service in various industries from Hotel Hospitality, as an Adult Vocational Supervisor for developmentally disabled adults to a Customer Service Rep at King Soopers until his retirement in January of 2022. He said it best †œServing others is what life is all about!†� That†™s how he lived, a kind person who cared about serving others. He also loved spending time with his dogs, Cujo and then Hachi. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Joy. He is survived by his brothers: Gregory James (wife Joy) and Larry Scott (wife Jennifer), nephews Kyle Austin, Spencer James and niece Sydney Anne. Eddie's celebration of life will be on June 10th at Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church. The celebration will start at 11AM, the address is 920 Kipling St. Lakewood, CO. All are welcome to come. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Development Disabilities Resource Center 11177 West 8th Avenue, Lakewood CO 80215.
