Obituary of Dana Craig Randall

Our beloved husband, father, uncle, and friend, Dana Craig Randall, passed away on May 17th, 2022 while hiking in southern Utah. Dana was born in Denver, Colorado on May 6, 1953. He was predeceased by his mother, Roberta Richards, his father, Paul Randall, his sister Nancy Bishop, and his nephew, David Bishop. Dana leaves behind his wife, Doreen Edelstein-Randall; his step-children, Cara Edelstein and David Edelstein and his nephews Mike, Andy, and Jamie Bishop who he raised after his sister died. Dana was a successful entrepreneur and an ardent environmentalist, with an adventurous streak and a sharp sense of humor. He was an avid skier and hiker, trekking the entire Colorado trail and summiting all of the 14ers in Colorado multiple times. Dana enjoyed spending time skiing, traveling, camping, gardening, and attending the Colorado Symphony. He also loved a cheerful evening with his family, friends, happy dogs, and good music. Dana†™s caring spirit, bright smile, and generous heart will be missed more than words can express. His unwavering kindness left many meaningful and happy memories for those who knew and loved him. His zest for life will be remembered with love long after his passing. A memorial for Dana will be held on Thursday, May 26th, 2022 at 1:00pm at Aspen Mortuary in Lakewood, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Denver Dumb Friends League or to the Denver Rescue Mission.
