Obituary of Jeanie Dreher

E. Jeanie Barr Dreher

Jeanie joined her heavenly father on July 10th, passing peacefully into the light at her home in Golden, Colorado. Jeanie is survived by her husband Rich Dreher and extended family, nieces Jackqueline Woods Vail and Pamela Woods Willis and nephew Tyler Woods.

Jeanie was born March 25th in Clarence, MO to parents Virgil & Fern. Growing up with her older brothers Ted and Gale on the family farm. In her adult years she would move to Lee†™s Summit, MO to raise her daughter Chris. Wanting to surround herself with all that nature has to offer she later relocated to Golden, Colorado. Her daughter passed in 2017 from an organ failure.

In Golden, Jeanie unlocked a true passion for Real Estate, working in the industry for over 25 years. She created many lasting client relationships and friendships throughout her lustrous career, always pleased when she could find the person †œjust what they were looking for†.

Jeanie studied English Poetry at Longview Community College to amplify her love for writing. She was an avid book reader and a faithful Elvis Presley fan. Taking advantage of every day, Jeanie enjoyed skiing, hiking, running, bicycling, bowling, dancing, drumming and teaching Sunday School to the little ones at church for more than 15 years.

Jeanie†™s outlook was always a positive approach to life, seeking to accept the good in all people and events, that all human beings are divine at their core and therefore inherently good. A follower of the Unity church, this is how she lived her life and projected love and light to all that were lucky enough to meet her. Her motto was †œno bad days†.

Simultaneously while teaching the little ones at her Unity Church, she engaged in an older adult†™s singles group at Mile Hi Church in Lakewood; eventually becoming their President of the group for many years. With this group, she was a contributor to their entertainment activities. She opened her door to many Holiday events including having the Velvet Elvis perform concerts right in her living room.

She was a wonderful wife and mother, a beloved aunt and a precious friend to many. Her bright light will live on in all of us.
