Obituary of Kathryn Dale Maestas

On Friday, September 16, 2022, Kathryn Dale Maestas, a beloved wife, ((great) grand) mother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece, and friend, passed away. Kathy, as most knew her, was born on April 26, 1962 to Deanna & Don Carroll. She was a good friend to so many people and will be missed by all.

Kathy graduated in 1980 from North High School in Denver, CO. She was a happy-go-lucky young woman who dreamed of having a husband & family. This dream came true for her when she met the love of her life, Jim in 1994. She gave birth to her son Clinton in 1996, and gained five bonus children when she was married to Jim in May 1999. It was the happiest day of her life. Kathy thrived in her life as a wife and mother. She loved taking care of her home and her family so much, she decided to start her own business so she could work from home and be there for her children. She built a wide social network and made her loved ones her priority in life, including her large circle of friends. Kathy loved to travel and was able to enjoy a bucket list cruise to Alaska just before her passing.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Jim Maestas; children: Clinton, James, JJ, Therese, Gina & Mandy; sisters: Deidra & Kim, and numerous grandchildren, cousins, aunts, nieces & nephews. She will be remembered by many as a kind-hearted woman who loved all that life had to offer.

Services will be held, and your presence welcome on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Aspen Mortuary, 6370 Union St. The viewing will be at 10am and services will start at 11am. Reception will follow immediately at the Lakewood Elks Club, 1455 Newland St.
