Obituary of Donald Eugene Maring

Don was born on July 24, 1939, in Denver CO to Louis and Katherine Maring. He passed away at his home in Arvada CO on November 28, 2022.

Don worked at the Coors Brewery for 31 years and retired in 1998. After retirement he worked part time for several years with the Prospect Recreation District, a job that let him work outside where he was happiest. His later years were spent gardening and fixing things around his home. In his younger years he loved to hunt and camp. He also was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Broncos and the CU Buffaloes. His kids and grandkids all participated in sports activities, and he was a great supporter at their games. He lived in Colorado his whole life but was fortunate to travel to many destinations which he really enjoyed (once he got there).

Family was always first in his life and he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marilynn, 2 daughters, Debby Mitchell and Shawn Nikkel, 2 sons, Don Jr (Connie), Ron (Lana), 8 grandkids, 8 great grandkids and 2 brothers, Louis and Frank (Tracy). His parents and two sisters, Linda and Tammy predeceased him.

Services will be held  at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 12735 W. 58th Ave, Arvada, CO  80002  on December 13, 2022 at 10 am. for Rosary, 10:30 am for Mass, with  Reception/Luncheon immediately following.
