Obituary of Bernita Delphine Andrews

Bernita Andrews of Arvada, CO, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away on December 22, 2022 of natural causes. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on February 5, 1935 to Thomas Harvey and Velora Baade; she was raised by her grandparents George and Lizzy Baade.

Bernita was an incredible woman whose heart and warmth overflowed into all aspects of her life. She enjoyed coloring, playing board games and cooking for family and friends, especially during the holidays. She was a fierce competitor and would rarely let anyone take victory away from her. Bernita had an eye for decorating; she would always decorate her house in the most elegant way for any of her family gatherings.

Bernita was a source of strength and kindness. She was always available to lend a shoulder to cry on, an ear for listening, and never hesitated to tell you how proud she was of her family. Bernita lived  each and every day filled with joy, laughter and love.


Bernita was predeceased by her son James Sipp and is survived by her sons Ron Sipp, Philip Andrews, daughters Teresa Sipp, Amy Stacey as well as numerous grand children, great grand children, nieces and nephews, with whom she shared a special bond. The family extends its heartfelt and profound gratitude to all of the loving caregivers that helped Bernita and the TRU Hospice staff. 
 

Bernita’s friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, December 31st, 2022, at 11:30, at the Leyden Rock Clubhouse located at 17685 W 83rd Dr Arvada, CO 80007. Bernita will be laid to rest on a later date at the Lakeview Cemetery in Broomfield, CO.
