Carolyn Dunlap

Obituary of Carolyn K Dunlap

Carolyn Kimberly Dunlap born on May 23, 1937, in Connecticut. Carolyn passed peacefully at Lutheran Hospice on January 1, 2023 surrounded by her children.

Carolyn moved to Colorado in 1950 with her mother (Martha), sister (Valerie) and brother (Richard). She attended South High School, and moved on to Emily Griffith Opportunity School. That is where she met Ronald F Dunlap (Dutch). They married October 1954. They were together for 58 years.

Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was survived by her three sons Ronald Dunlap (Dede Dunlap), Gary Dunlap (Lucy Dunlap) and Michael Dunlap. She had 6 grandchildren; Chet, Travis, Ariel, Eric (Deceased), Jim, Dondi 12 great grandchildren; Ayden, Drake, Ashton, Julianna, Justin, Hunter, Cooper, Dorian, Jackie, Clara, LaMere, and Anthony and 2 great great grandchildren; Ivy and Angel.

Carolyn enjoyed many activities with her family including camping, hiking and fishing. She loved the outdoors, animals, gardening, caring for her flowers and spending time with her family. Carolyn was a member of the Eastern Stars for over 50 years. She spent many hours reading her bible and going to bible studies.

Mostly Carolyn loved being a homemaker; she cherished her family and friends. She was always cheerful and cared for others.

Carolyn did not want a memorial service because she did not want anyone to be sad. She wanted to be remembered with happiness and love.

There will be a grave site service later in the spring; she always loved that time of year with flowers blooming. The date will posted and everyone will be notified once the date is decided.
