Obituary of Wayne Howard Lueth

On Saturday February 4th, 2023 Wayne Howard Lueth passed away peacefully at the age of 96. Wayne was born November 4th, 1926 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He grew up on a farm and had many small-town adventures. 

After he graduated high school, Wayne joined the Army where he proudly served his country. He served time in Japan during WWII and then transferred back to Fort Hood, Texas, he taught morse code. After being honorably discharged he went back home to South Dakota and worked for REA.

That career brought him to Colorado. Wayne & Shirley made their home in Arvada with their 4 children: Jan, Sandy, Susan, and Bill.  In 1982 he married Janette and entered the lives of her children Dee Ann and Scott. Over the last 41 years Wayne and Janette shared many great memories with family and friends. He was a great friend to all and was always ready for a good time.  Wayne is survived in death by his wife Janette, children, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

As Wayne once stated how proud he was of his country and to have served we ask in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the Broomfield Veterans Museum in Wayne’s name, where he was honored and able to share stories and memories of his time in service.
