Obituary of Hal C McNutt

Hal C McNutt II, 75, of Arvada, CO, passed away on February 12, 2023 after a long tiring battle with congestive heart failure.

 

Hal was born on March 26, 1947 to Emma Elizabeth West and Hal C. McNutt in Denver, CO. 

 

After graduating from Arvada High School in 1965, he attended Rangely College near Meeker, CO. He spent most of his time there catching bats with a fishing pole from the roofs at night. 

 

He worked most of his life as a heavy equipment operator and most enjoyed running dozers. Despite his preference, he was so good at running scraper he spent most time as scraper operator. He was an avid union member in Operating Engineers Local 9 his whole life.

 

In 1982, he met Linda, and they wed in November 10, 1984, going on to have two sons, Cody and Dustin.

 

Hal was a passionate outdoorsman and could often be found fishing or hunting at any opportunity. He loved taking people out to “God’s Country” at his cabin outside of Maybell, CO. 

 

Hal was predeceased by his mother and father, as well as his cousin Ron Marley. 

 

He is survived by his wife Linda, son Cody and his wife Katasha and son Dustin.

There will be a memorial service Saturday, February 18, 2023, 10:00 am at Aspen Mortuary 6370 Union St, Arvada, CO, 80004 followed by a lunch reception from 11:00-2:00pm at Apex Community Recreation Center 6842 Wadsworth Blvd. Arvada, CO 80003.
