Obituary of Rita Mae Vigil

Rita Vigil was born on August 31, 1955 in Pueblo, CO and passed away on February 6, 2023 in Thornton, CO.

Rita was a stay-at-home mom. She enjoyed spending her free time in Central City. She loved her pets and her dog, Shadow, stayed lovingly at her side until she passed. Rita cherished every moment with her son’s and beautiful grandchildren and great grandchild. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Claudia Mondragon; husband Jesse Vigil; and sister Yola Turner.

She is survived by her four son’s Jesse Mondragon, Jason Vigil, Justin Vigil, and Julian Vigil; daughter-in-laws Nichol and Britany; grandchildren Noah, Eli, Lance, Stella, Talia, and Juaquin; great grandchild Ava; sisters Agnes, Pat, and Deborah; and brother Robert.
