Obituary of Michael Birrenkott

Michael G. Birrenkott, 78, of Thornton, Colorado passed away on May 9,2023.

Michael was born on September 26, to Joseph and Mary Birrenkott he was 1 of 5 children in the town of Steele, North Dakota. After graduating from Steele high school, he was drafted into the army during the vietnam war. After serving in the army he went to college for accounting, he then married Lavon in the year 1976.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Lavon Birrenkott, brother Joe Birrenkott, his brother Lawerence and wife Myrna Birrenkott, and his brother-in-law Al Kosel. He is survived by his step children Charlie Cde Baca and Lisa Roan. Charlie’s wife Diane and grandchildren Louis Lucero and partner Cami Garcia, Nathan Cde Baca, Desiree Dominguez and her husband Demetrius, Lisa’s husband Timothy, his brother John Birrenkott and his wife Silva, his sister Mary Kosel, sister in law Rosemarie Birrenkott, and several nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by his many friends and loving family.

The rosary will begin at 9am, followed by the funeral at 10 am at Our Lady of Grace Church 2645 E. 48th Ave, Denver, Colorado, 80216. We will proceed to Fort Logan Cemetery for the burial 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver, Colorado, 80236. There will be a celebration of Mike after the burial at American Legion, 5421 E 71st Ave, Commerce City, CO 80022
