Beulah "Darlene" Botos

Darlene Botos, 88, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away resting peacefully on the evening of April 25, 2023.

October 17, 1934, Darlene was born to Carl and Opal Conder in Berthoud, Colorado, one of two children. Her first husband, Dell Shults, precedes her in death along with her second husband of 43 years, Robert (Bob) Botos, who passed away four months prior to Darlene on December 27, 2022. Also, preceding Darlene, are her parents, brother, and great-granddaughter, Haven Anderson. Darlene is survived by her six children, Keven Botos, Jesse Shults, Marianne Botos, Tom Botos, Robin Anderson, and Dolly Myerson; along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Darlene’s biggest passion was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She had several between her and Bob and loved them all dearly. She enjoyed hearing from and about them and then sharing news of them with others. Being a part of their lives brought her joy. Darlene also loved animals and took great lengths to have them around her after she no longer had a pet herself. Watching and feeding the birds and squirrels brought her much happiness.

Darlene worshiped Jesus Christ and enjoyed attending church and Bible Studies. Her love language was gift giving. She would spend hours finding that perfect gift and was passionate about giving it. She adored getting “dolled up” as she would say before she ventured out, and one could tell. She always looked her best. Quite often you would find her and Bob in matching colors. They made such a good couple. You always found her with an American flag pinned on her hat. Supporting her country and veterans was very important to her.

Darlene was a member of the Bear Valley Church in Lakewood. A double Celebration of Life service will be held for both Darlene and Bob Botos at Bear Valley Church in Lakewood, 10001 W. Jewell Ave., on Monday, July 10th. 2023, 10:00 AM MT. Light refreshments will be available after the celebration. All are welcome to stay and share delightful memories and enjoy conversation.
